Dec 2007 - Tesco have finally abandoned their plans for the Angel Triangle development and have opted for a smaller store in the Crown Centre instead, surely the most sensible solution for the town as a whole. There have been reports of a 20% fall in business by traders in nearby Cradley Heath since the opening of the new Tesco store there, so the concerns about loss of trade do appear to be justified Click here for views of local residents.

21st Nov 06 - Dudley MBC planners have rejected the latest plan from Tesco, citing major concerns about traffic management on the ring road and it's effect on existing traders.

Dec 2006 - Tesco are once again trying to get a major new foodstore into Stourbridge and inevitably it is bound to be a controversial topic. Last time Tesco submitted a planning application there was a huge range of objections, but lots of people were in favour too.
