St James’s C.E. Primary School P.T.A are hosting a
ladies fashion show in the school hall on Monday 21.04.08 at 7.30pm to raise
funds for the school. The clothes will be supplied by ‘Smarty’s,
a specialist in new ex.chain store clothing from major high street retailers
at huge reductions from the original recommended retail price. Over 1300 items
of clothing will be available for purchase on the evening, ranging from sizes
8 to 22, so there really is something for everyone. All methods of payment
will be accepted including debt and credit cards. The school receives all
proceeds from ticket sales and commission from purchases.

are £2 which includes a glass of wine or soft drink and can be purchased

The International Festival of Glass 2008 22nd – 25th

The third International Festival of Glass is the highlight of every glass
enthusiast’s calendar. Reinvigorating Stourbridge’s reputation
as a global glass centre it draws large national and international audiences
into Stourbridge and the Black Country to see glassmaking at its finest. Featuring
world class exhibitions, including the prestigious British Glass Biennale,
demonstrations, performances and events, the festival shatters all preconceptions
by presenting a multi-media, visually exciting and dynamic interpretation.
Glass music, glass puppets, glass dresses, what can’t you do with this

Stourbug launches cycling fitness campaigns for 2008
Following a hugely successful Ladies training campaign and cycle ride
to Stratford in May 2007 Stourbridge Bicycle User Group [STOURBUG] is looking
to train a new group of local ladies to cycle from Stourbridge to Stratford
upon Avon in May. The 45 mile route, on quiet lanes, will take the group through
Belbroughton, Hanbury and Astwood Bank, and will take most of the day to complete

The series is now in its 4th year. Admission to these recitals is free. A
retiring collection is taken to assist in funding the care and maintenance
of the instrument. A view of the organ console is usually projected onto a
large screen at the front of the church, giving excellent views of the performer.

classes on a Tuesday at 7.00-8.00 pm. It is a fun and friendly movement class
for all abilities, with toning, flexibility and aerobic exercises. The class
